The symbol is a drum and tabla. Dhanishtha has two meanings in it - one is Dhana (riches) and the other is Dhvani (sound). Dhanishta builds upon the connections of Shravana and makes them more practical. As the meaning of "Dhanishtha" implies, the natives born in this Nakshatra are either inheritors of great wealth, or accumulate it during the course of their lifetime. The symbol of this constellation is musical instruments. Accordingly, one can rightly decipher the musical inclination of Dhanishtha people. The subjects are natural leaders as well.
